Where We Were
130 × 100 × 4 cm
Acrylic and spray paint on canvas.
Growing up, there seem like things everyone has an instinct to do. Whether it is to climb trees or to throw stones into the water, we have all done them and we can share in those collective memories. The water seems to pull at us, to compel us to want to disturb its surface. That surface of water like the surface of the canvas, has a huge potential and this painting explores mark making through complimentary methods to make a tapestry of marks like memories.
