Dawn Fever
130 × 100 × 4 cm
Acrylic and spray paint on canvas.
I’m so fascinated by the delicacy of relationships. In this I wanted to explore that moment of tension between intimacy and rejection. So close, touching, together, yet separated by shadow and light. One brilliantly lit up like a marble sculpture and the other plunged into deepest shadow. A moment we may have all experienced in our youth. On the surface the scene is not particularly special, yet for this couple, it is bursting with tension. The giddiness reflected in the colours surrounding them.
