This was quite an extraordinary space to exhibit in. The dilapidated walls and crumbling paint reminded me of my student days in the 90’s where we would literally squat a building that we had found as a renegade group of artists. There is something nice about contrasting the artworks with the environment and it was also really interesting to incorporate the new architectural works inside the space. So the paintings themselves spoke about architecture and the experience this can give us.
